Maggie Kelly is a mental health advocate and author who writes from lived experience. Her debut book, Recovering from Depression, sold over 1,000 copies in its first year and continues to offer hope to those who feel alone.
She obtained her B.S. in Psychology at Coastal Carolina University and uses her degree to help inform her writing. Maggie has struggled with depression for several decades and was eventually hospitalized and received ECT (electroconvulsive therapy).
She found purpose in sharing the realities of depression and healing, and began sharing her story online.
When not writing, you can find her singing and playing the guitar with her cats.
