The Pros and Cons of Trying to Write and Publish an Article Every Single Day
It means hard work, but it’s manageable
I’ve always loved writing. Since I was a preteen, it was always something that offered me solace. I started writing fanfiction, then I started a book. I kept a journal and wrote down all my thoughts and dreams.
Any writer worth their salt will give beginners the same advice: WRITE. In order to get better, you have to practice constantly. Alas, I recently embarked on a mission to write every day, and, with it, publish an article daily.
It’s been harrowing, to say the least. I’ve enjoyed doing it, but it’s work. It’s possible to do, you just have to put your mind to it. On top of that, I can think of a few other pros and cons of writing and publishing every day.
Pros of writing an article daily
- Starts a good habit
- You develop your own writing system
- Strengthens your writing muscle and idea muscle
Cons of writing an article daily
- Burn out
- It requires setting time aside
- You have to constantly be coming up with ideas
I love flexing my writing muscles, but it’s a workout. It’s not something that happens overnight. It requires real work. Anything worth having in life requires it.
My writing skills are increasing daily, but you do have to be careful of burnout. It’s easy to have “writer’s fever” in the beginning, but you have to remember to pace yourself.
Writing is a marathon, not a sprint. The best writing comes with time and practice.
