You Have the Time to Do What You Want, You Just Don’t Want to Choose
It’s all about how we choose to spend our time.
Time. It never seems like there’s enough of it. You have too much to do and not enough time to do it. Or you’re willing time to go by when you’re stuck at work in a meeting. You can never quite decide if time moves too slowly or too fast.
It doesn’t seem like you ever have enough time, but you’re full of crap. You have plenty of time, you just manage it poorly.
Technology has made so much of our lives easier, and it’s freed up time that we wouldn’t have had because we had to spend time on regular chores and work. It’s eliminated things that have previously been huge time wasters.
You don’t have to make your own clothes or do complex mathematical equations by hand.
You don’t have to spend the time driving or walking for that matter. You don’t have to spend time shopping. Heck, you can even have other people shop for you.
I can order groceries online and have them delivered to my house in a fraction of the time it would take to shop. I don’t have to spend the time getting dressed up to go out, I don’t have to spend the time driving in the car, and I don’t have to spend the time browsing the aisles.
In an age where most of our lives are becoming automated, we have more time than ever. More free time to spend with loved ones and do the things we want.
Even now, with a pandemic on the loose, it’s forced many of us to slow down, take stock of our lives, and realize the time we have on our hands.
You have so much time now that you overthink how you spend it. Now, instead of doing things, you spend your time contemplating what is the best choice.
You want to be able to entertain all of the open offers, but they’re not going to last forever. Eventually, you’re going to have to make a choice.
If you keep thinking and contemplating, you’re never going to get anywhere.
You’re so consumed by if you make the wrong choice that you don’t make a choice at all.
There are no wrong decisions. There are no wrong answers.
In this life, we have to find our individual paths. You can’t do that if you refuse to choose.
If I could describe the current world culture in one world it would be plentiful. There is so much in the world. Simply put, there are too many choices now.
Your time is valuable. You want to make sure you’re using it in the best possible way. But you can’t sit around on your butt forever, twiddling your thumbs, paralyzed by indecision.
Your strength lies in being able to categorize the things that are most important to you.
Final Thoughts
There are still some things that we’ll always have to spend time on, like jobs and school.
When it comes down to it, you have the time to do the things you want, you just don’t want to make the decision because you fear it’s wrong or you’ll be judged.
You only have one life. Stop wasting your time on stupid crap and do something that makes your life meaningful.
God forbid you regret how you acted because you made some mistakes. It’s better to make the mistake and live than to not live at all.
Make the decision today to stop wasting away.
