This challenge was started by Tree Langdon. If you want to join, simply copy and paste these questions.

1. What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Being surrounded by my favorite people and doing my favorite things.

2. What is your greatest fear?

Being alone is probably my greatest fear, topping even bugs and heights.

3. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?

I’ll be honest about the fact that sometimes I can be dishonest. I do it to protect myself, but that doesn’t make it excusable. I’m trying to rectify it.

4. Which living person do you most admire?

Jameela Jamil. I love the work she does with mental health and how outspoken she is. She’s a fantastic person.

5. What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

Honesty. I think people talk big about it, but they never really want the truth. You hear what you want to hear.

6. On what occasion do you lie?

To protect me and to protect others, whether it’s right or not.

7. Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

“Awesome!” “Cool.” “Okay.” “That’s fun.”

8. What or who is the greatest love of your life?

Music has and always will be my number one love. Writing trails behind it. But music is the sun in my sky, the stars in the night; without it, I’m incomplete.

9. When and where were you happiest?

It was a cool day in San Francisco. I needed a reprieve from the darkness and chaos of my life and I had always dreamed of visiting. Being there was like paradise. One day, I decided to take a boat tour of the bay. As we were out on the water, we passed by the bay bridge. The sun was bright overhead, and the weather on the boat was nice and cool. As the wind whistled by, I leaned against the boat railing and took a snapshot of the pure joy and calmness I felt at that moment. It was the most peaceful I have ever felt.

10. Which talent would you most like to have?

I would love to speak multiple languages fluently. I wish the American school system taught second languages, and I regret not pursuing my language learning further.

11. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I would be more upfront. Instead of trying to be a people pleaser and not trying to rock the boat, I would stand proudly in the face of adversity without feeling sick to my stomach.

12. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

For a long time, I would say academic success in my last semester of college. Now, I would say I’m most proud of myself for striking out and moving to LA. It took guts and courage. I learned a lot about myself.

13. Where would you most like to live?

I still haven’t decided yet, otherwise, I would be there. I think possibly the west coast. Somewhere near the water.

14. What do you most value in your friends?

Loyalty and nonjudgement.

15. Which historical figure do you most identify with?

Maya Angelou

16. Who are your heroes in real life?

Honestly, I don’t know that I have heroes. I look up to my sister, but that’s about it. I think people are just people, and every one of them has the capacity to be a hero in their own right.

17. What is your greatest regret?

I have several regrets but I think my greatest regret is leaving Los Angeles. I think I ended up regressing a couple of years and it simply delayed things in my life.

18. What is your motto?

Better late than never.
