Enjoy the time you have.

We seem to think we have more time in the world than anything. In fact, we have more time now than we have ever had before. There’s more time for us to enjoy our passions and truly embrace our lives.

Yet, it’s not going to last forever. Your time on Earth is limited. One day, you’re going to die. There’s no sugar coating that.

With the time that we have, we have to learn how to appreciate the present.

Something I’ve been thinking about recently is, you never know when the last time is going to be.

You never know. We do all of these things in life and take them for granted. Never consider that, maybe, you may never do or see it again.

You didn’t know it would be the last time you sat on your parents’ lap. There are books you read that you aren’t going to read again. Did you enjoy the book when it was the last time you were ever going to read it?

When was the last time you stayed up all night?

Did it ever occur to you that this could be the last time I ever do this?

You should enjoy everything like it could be the last time. That’s how you learn to live in the moment.

Nothing is ever truly guaranteed. Awful things happen all the time.

How many people said “I love you” to their loved ones before they went off to work, before being killed in 9/11?

Life is unpredictable. You don’t know. You can never know for certain.

Think about all the last times you already had that you didn’t know about.

All those times, you had no clue it would be the last time that would happen. How do you feel about that now, knowing it will never happen again?

Personally, it’s imbued me with a sense of awareness. I go into things recognizing that it may never happen again.

It changes things. It makes you more present. If anything, it should make you grateful. There are very few things in life that are guaranteed.

Will that change anything for you? How will you go forward knowing the next time could be the last time?
