We all want to be successful. All of our definitions of success may vary, but ultimately, we are all seeking fulfillment in one way or another. The ability to be successful hinges on one important trait.

The ability to be bored.

It’s no secret that life is hard. It’s no secret that writing, or any other skill, is going to be difficult to keep up.I’ve been writing for almost three months now, and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t difficult to stick to the habit. The hard part about any habit is that eventually, you’re going to get bored with it.It’s easy to be excited about it in the beginning. You’re excited about starting and picking up a new skill, but soon enough the excitement wears off. You’re plagued with a new question: is this skill worth your time and effort? That’s what it comes down to. Anything you do is a choice. You’re constantly making choices about what you want to do with your time. When it comes to what we want to do, we want to be damn sure it’s something worth doing. However, everything is going to have peaks and valleys. It’s not always going to be sunshine and daisies. When it comes down to it, you know that it’s not always going to be easy. Some days are going to be a struggle. You’ll be bored and tired and you won’t want to do it.That’s when people give up.Are you going to separate yourself? Can you handle the pain?Your ability to be successful hinges on if you can.
