Don’t Let Your Brain Keep You Small

Immediately after I decided to write 1000 stories this year, I panicked.I thought to myself, “Man, I jumped the gun on this. How the F am I going to do it?” I wanted to back down and call it quits. Our subconscious does this to try and protect us. It’s a defense mechanism. It’s meant to keep us from making dumb, irrational decisions that will get us killed. But this will hardly get me killed. Our brain doesn’t keep ourselves small on purpose. It’s a natural instinct. However, this natural instinct can keep you from exponential growth. You have the potential to do anything you set your mind to. Your mind will try to protect you and stay small, but you can resist. You can decide to push. Push back and you’ll be amazed by your results.
