Some days you can’t bring yourself to write.Whether it be writer’s block or not having the motivation to do it, it falls by the wayside. Writing feels like a chore. The lack of motivation brings your writing to a halt.Your lack of motivation is the problem.Great writers don’t wait for motivation. They don’t wait for inspiration to strike. They show up, and that’s what you have to do.Show up.Nobody is asking you to write the next Great American Novel. You’re putting that pressure on yourself. If you want to write, then you have to work for it. No more waiting for motivation or inspiration.Set aside the time every day to work on it. When that time comes, put the distractions away and work. Keep doing that every day. That’s what makes you a writer.
