Ever since I was a little girl, I was sold on the idea of true love.
I grew up watching TV shows and Disney movies where boy and girl meet and fall in love. Everybody meets the love of their life and settles down forever.
The fairytale ending every child is sold.
As I’ve grown up, I fell in love with the idea of being in love.
It always seemed so magical. To find the one true love that fits you like a glove. Soul mates. Forever bonded.
Finding the one person that knows you better than anyone.
That’s the dream. It’s my dream.
It’s always been my dream to fall in love with my best friend. Someone who knows me intimately inside and out.
Love is many things all at once. It’s simple, it’s complicated. It’s messy, it’s easy.
But the feeling is unparalleled.
It fills you with a warmth you didn’t know was possible. The world becomes more colorful.
There are many things I can say about love, but I’ll settle for this.
It’s a blessing to have love in your life. The people who love you, the ones you love, and everything in between. If you have it, hold on. And don’t let go.
