Education can be a hit or miss. Some people love school, and others hate it.

Me? Not a big fan. I struggled a lot in college. I would get behind on assignments or not turn them in. I was deep in the midst of depression.

A few things kept me going, and these quotes are some of them.

Here are 7 of my favorite quotes to help you pull through.

Effort will not betray you.

You control how much effort you put in. And the more effort you put towards your goals, the more results you’ll get.

The time you spend studying or practicing your craft will pay off tenfold.

Your effort won’t go unnoticed. Just don’t waste your effort on menial tasks.

If you’re going through hell, keep going. — Winston Churchill

I was going through a rough time in college. I had depression, and I had several family members die. I didn’t want to live.

But every time I read this quote, I took a deep breath and plunged on. The bad can’t go on forever. At some point, the bad has to stop.

Let it be your reminder that good things are on the other side of hell.

Your beliefs dictate your destiny. — Mahatma Ghandi

It’s so simple, and it’s so powerful. What you believe affects how you think and act. Your belief system can help you or harm you.

Learn to recognize when your beliefs no longer serve you and have the courage to change them.

If you want your life to be different, you have to be willing to do something different first. — Hal Elrod

When I first read this, I was struck. It was so obvious, yet poignant. It speaks volumes about your actions.

You often forget the power is in your hands. And if you don’t like something, you have the power to change it.

You’ve got to wake up every morning with determination if you’re going to go to bed with satisfaction. — George Lorimer

I love this quote. It is so satisfying to hit your goals and feel good. Sometimes, it just takes a kick in the keister to get you going.

If I could reach the end goal of satisfaction, you’re darn sure it motivated me.

There is a difference between making a decision and making a commitment.

I had a hard time sticking to things. I waffled a lot when I made decisions, often going back and forth.

Reading this quote made me realize that I had to commit to something. Making the decision wasn’t enough.

Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right. — Henry Ford

This is my go-to quote whenever I doubt myself. Your beliefs will control you, unless you control your beliefs.

It’s a great reminder that your mindset is the determining factor in success, nothing else.
